Is this ridiculous? Yes, probably.
Do I care about the ridiculousness? Only in a gently amused sort of way.
I've been mulling over the idea of doing this again for a little while, when I realised that, although "no-one blogs anymore", I still really enjoy reading the ones that have kept going. I'm pretty sure Pip posted about this in Meet Me At Mikes a little while ago, although I can't find the exact post, so maybe I'm confused? Either way, it's Pip's "dailies" that have inspired me to start this back up again.
I love reading about the everyday, ordinary bits of joy in other peoples lives, so I thought I'd come back here and write about my own, to give me a way to focus on those #littledetails and #ordinaryjoys.
Today's #littledetails and #ordinaryjoys:
I was staying in a Travelodge last night, with a print on the wall of The Owl and the Pussycat, in their beautiful pea-green boat. Someone had decided the cat needed a face, and drawn one on the glass. A little naughty, yes, and no, we should not deface art, in hotel rooms or anywhere else for that matter, but it made me smile.
Various grandparents on the train this morning - especially the jolly man making silly jokes about Tooting, much to his older granddaughters disdain, the lady reading aloud to her granddaughter from a library book.
The chaos at kings cross, because of it being 11am on the 1st September, which is apparently an important thing for Harry Potter fans - loads of people having a fab time pretending to push a luggage trolley through a wall. My favourites were the two blokes doing it on a random platform instead of the official photo spot.
